The production flowlines will reach the shore in Orka Voe in Shetland, with onshore pipelines routed a distance of approximately 1.2 km to the proposed Gas Production Plant north-east of BP\u2019s Sullom Voe Terminal. The plot area is approximately 34 hectares.<br \/>\nThe proposed Laggan-Tormore  Gas Production Plant will be designed to process 500 MMSCFD of gas, plus associated condensate (design rate 27,900 bbl\/d), produced water (maximum steady state production 730 bbl\/d condensed saturation water plus 2,000 bbl\/d entrained formation water) and monoethylene glycol (MEG). The wellstream fluids will be commingled with MEG, which will be recovered and continually recycled back out to the Laggan-Tormore wellheads for hydrate inhibition.<br \/>\nGas will be dehydrated, compressed and exported via a new 30&#8243; pipeline that departs from  Gas Production Plant and is routed onshore for a distance of approximately 5.5 km to a beach valve station at Firths Voe. The new export pipeline then transports gas offshore and ties into the FUKA pipeline system close to the decommissioned MCP-01. Subsequently the gas will be transported to the existing TOTAL terminal at St. Fergus for further conditioning and ultimate delivery into the UK National Grid.<br \/>\nUn-stabilised condensate will be pumped to the BP Sullom Voe Terminal crude oil facilities for commingling with East of Shetland crude oil prior to storage and tanker export.<br \/>\nThe British government approved its development in 2010 and drilling is expected to start in 2012, with first gas likely in 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Situated in storm-tossed seas to the west of Shetland lies the Laggan-Tormore gas and condensate field &#8211; the most significant oil and gas project currently underway in the UK.
