The Greater Stella Area is located in the Central Graben area of the Central North Sea, on the UK Continental Shelf. It is an area surrounded by large producing fields and undeveloped discoveries, with major companies including TOTAL, Shell, ConocoPhillips, BP and Talisman, all operating infrastructure in the area.

The development is centred on the drilling of subsea wells tied back to the “FPF-1” floating production unit, with the onward transportation of processed hydrocarbons to nearby existing oil and gas export infrastructure. It is planned for five wells to be drilled on the Stella field and two on the Harrier field.
