The FPSO P53 was converted, in the Keppel Shipyard in Singapore, from the Portuguese vessel Setebello. The P53 has a length of 346m and can accommodation up to 240 personnel.
The FPSO is equipped with a large turret system (a tower that receives the flexible production and injection lines, the oil pipeline and gas pipeline and additionally the anchoring lines), the turret measures 26 m in diameter and is capable of receiving up to 75 flexible lines.
The production capacity of the FPSO P53 shall be 180,000 barrels of oil per day, gas compression capacity shall be 6 million cubic meters per day and water injection capacity shall be 245,000 barrels of water per day.
The FPSO P53 is to be located in the Marlim Leste field, anchored at a depth of 1,080m and installed 120km off the Brazilian coast and it will be interconnected to 21 wells (13 oil and gas producers and eight water injectors) and produce heavy, 20 degree API oil.
